Our client is a well-established, family-owned car dealership business that is looking for a Controller to join their team! As the Controller, you will be a key member of their team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the dealership. You will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure the integrity of financial reporting, and support business growth through sound financial planning and analysis. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis for management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and tax obligations.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities including insurance, warranty cancellations, etc.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Dealertrack accounting software preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
