Position Summary/Description:
The Facility Operations Manager serves as the overall manager of the Environment of Care Management Program for Campus Health including safety management, security management, medical equipment management, utility system management, environmental management integrated with quality assurance, continuous quality improvement, risk management, utilization resource management, and infection control components. Is responsible for staying abreast of industry standards set by OSHA , ADA , NFPA , AHA , and JCAHO . The Facilities Operation Manager shapes the program's direction, policy, objectives and goals as part of strategic planning. Another major component of this position is the management of security operations in the building. This position is responsible for scheduling routine building maintenance, facilities inspections, and overseeing the day-to-day needs of large-scale building projects. Supervises daytime housekeeping staff, Storeroom Manager and liaison with vendor providing evening and weekend housekeeping services.
Education and Experience:
Previous hospital or medical facilities operations management experience. Supply/Inventory management experience, supervision experience and knowledge of industry standards set by OSHA , ADA NFPA , and JCAHO . Previous accreditation experience helpful.
Essential Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area; or environment, health and safety related field or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
