We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated French teacher. The MHASD French program utilizes a recently updated, research-based, teacher-designed, and team-built curriculum aligning with ACTFL best practices. It was founded on using curated authentic texts in place of a textbook. This proficiency-based curriculum is in practice. The comprehensive curriculum includes Unit Plans, student instructional materials, assessments, and guides and explainers designed to facilitate the use of the curriculum.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Holds, or is eligible to obtain, a current Wisconsin Teaching License in World Language-French and English as a Second Language
Passionate and engaging educator
Demonstrates ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with all learners by setting learning expectations at students' readiness levels.
Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Collaborative and exceptional solutions-oriented mindsets.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.
Demonstrates good communication skills, including ability to guide and supervise groups of students, maintain confidentiality, and work with students in a positive and motivational manner.
Demonstrates proficient office skills with computers and software.
Able to interact with others effectively, follow directions and initiate activities independently.
Enjoy working with students and other staff members.
Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion
Bilingual (Spanish) skills and abilities are a plus.
