Your role at BHSN:

The nutritionist will provide our clients with professional advice on how to implement and maintain a healthy lifestyle. As a specialist in food and nutrition, our clients will depend on you to guide them towards better eating and exercise habits. As a nutritionist in a behavioral health clinic, you will complete a nutritional assessment of the complete diet; including foods, beverages, supplements, and medications that influence the medical status of that individual.

The nutritionist creates a Nutrition Care Plan that serves as the guide for treatment. This care plan emphasizes a collaborative approach between the patient and their support system to restore wellness to the body and mind.

What your day might look like:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each client's dietary habits, nutritional needs, and wellness goals.
• Offer personalized nutritional guidance tailored to each client's unique needs, preferences, and health concerns, promoting optimal physical health and wellbeing.
• Provide evidence-based nutrition education to empower clients to make informed choices about their diet and lifestyle, promoting long-term health and wellness.
• Support clients in implementing sustainable behavioral changes to improve their eating habits, manage weight, and enhance overall quality of life

Your skills and qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in nutritional science, dietetics, or a related discipline
• In-depth knowledge of biochemistry, human physiology, food, nutrition and health
• Thorough knowledge of research methodology and data analysis
• Good organizational skills
• Behavioral health experience a plus!
