For this position, the Van Driver will primarily provide safe transportation of senior citizens (or others 18 and older) to and from activities and field trips and may occasionally provide transportation for youth and teen programs. Individual must be able to assist with loading and unloading of passengers. They will need to feel comfortable leading the group and working with businesses/vendors. Driver serves as a chaperone who is responsible for safe trips to and from the recreation center and the safety of all participants. Hours for the position are flexible based upon schedule of individual driver and trip needs. These vacancies are open until filled. We will review applications every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Minimum Qualifications Applicant must be 21 years of age or older, pass a background check, possess a current Drivers License, and complete CPR/First Aid/AED training prior to first day of work. Applicant will also be required to complete the "Coaching the Van Driver IV" training materials. Applicant will be required to provide motor vehicle driver record to staff for review to determine if sufficient. Recreation Center Membership: Employees are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per year. Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices. Benefits: The city monitors the hours worked for seasonal and variable hour employees. In the event that they work more than 1,560 hours within the ACA measurement period, they will be offered health benefits. Wellness: Employees are eligible to earn up to $100 for participation in various wellness activities offered by the City throughout the year. Eligibility for Pay Increases: Employees are eligible for a pay increase around the time of their annual appraisal following a successful evaluation.
